White Lace Romper & Snail Bag

Can you believe that it is almost the end of August? This year has seriously flown by and I've noticed as I get older, the days, weeks, and months go by a lot faster. I remember when I was in middle school and summer lasted forever, but not anymore. The other half and I are starting to look around to  buy our first home! Its really exciting and we've been to a few open houses so far and I have been tracking houses to understand the different between the listing price verses the sell price. Wish us luck!

On another note, one of my favorite sites, Lulu*s is launching their outlet sale site! It starts today (ends August 2nd) and they have amazing sales at ridiculous prices! The way the outlet site works is that they have these buckets, $10, $15, $25, and $40. And you probably guessed it, each bucket will correspond with a certain dollar amount, and it will make shopping on a budget that much easier, which is something I truly appreciate right now as we're trying to save up every penny to buy a home. Have a look and happy shopping!

Sequin Top & Lace-Up Heels

How pretty are these painted stairs?! They recently got painted and redone -previously they were just regular cement stairs (see these old posts). If you are ever in San Francisco and want to visit this staircase, it is located at California St. and 32nd Ave.

This look is a dressed-up but work appropriate outfit that is great for happy hour with co-workers. It mixes dressy with the blazer and casual with the jeans. Perfect for those pick me up days.

Have an amazing weekend!

Face Forward

Today I'm partnering with Clinique to share an empowering personal life lesson that I learned over the past few years. I can say with 100% confidence that I am a much wiser now than when I was in college. One might ask, "well, what does 'much wiser' mean?" Well when I evaluate my achievements and goals that I have set for myself, I look at my overall lifestyle. And it's a bit funny to say, but I go down this mental checklist of whether or not I am satisfied with my: health, job, family, partner, friends, hobbies, and so on. If there is anything in that list that is not satisfactory, I try and figure out why that happened and how I can change that. This might sound odd or very calculated, but I have found it to be very insightful because you are not just focusing on one aspect of your life, but it as a whole.

When I recently, ran through that checklist in my mind, I found that I was lacking in the health aspect and I immediately set goals for myself to change and make improvements. I started to run 3-4 times a week, signed up for the Nike Women's Half Marathon in October, and started to eat more healthy. Looking back, when I was young, and if I was unhappy with my health, I would of just unhappily dwelled on it instead of actually doing something. And this personal lesson that I learned over time is that you have control over almost everything in your life. I used to think that I got lucky when I got this or unlucky when that happened, but everything is 20/20 in hindsight. Therefore if I could give my future self advice, it would be to never forget that you are in control. You can live the life you want and should do what you are passionate about. You can #FaceForward.

Thank you so much for reading and if you could give your future self any advice, what would it be?

xo,
Connie

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks

It's that time of year again when Nordstrom has their Anniversary Sale! (yippie!) So far, I've been eyeing winter coats, especially ones that have a skirted bottom; I can image wearing a skirt or dress under the 3 coats I picked out. I've also always wanted a leopard coat, and I am loving these two here! Next, lets talk about the Ivanka Trump pumps, I love pumps that have any lace-up element and have been growing my collection of heels of that sort in the past year or so and don't see myself stoping anytime soon! I'm also over-due in getting a new pair of sunglasses and I might get these kate spade ones! Finally, Philosophy Purity face wash is the only face wash I will use! And I love this time of the year because I get to buy the jumbo size that lasts me all year. (You can also catch jumbo sized items during Christmas) Plus it comes with a little bottle that is great for traveling. What I really like about it is that it is a cleanser and make-up remover in one. Truly Amazing. I have my eye on other things, but these are my main picks and loves! Happy shopping!

Happy Wednesday! Today on the blog, we are talking about the time of the month, yea that time. Its not a glamorous thing to blog about, but the truth is that we all go through that time of the month once a month. Whether you prefer to use pads or tampons, I know that we can all agree that the more convenient the better. I recently went to my local Target to pick up a box of Tampax Pocket Pearl among other goodies. I can never just get one thing from Target and if you are like me, I find myself loosing track of time when I'm there. (Hehe... I love it there) Anyways, the other half and I signed up for the Nike Half Marathon that in San Francisco this October and have started to train -we're optimistic that we'll get selected and will find out sometime this week! :)  To be honest, it has been a challenge finding time to train on the weekdays since we both get off work in the evenings, but with the sun setting late, we are able to squeeze in little runs here and there. But when its that time of the month, I absolutely need something that seamlessly fits into my purse, clutch, or at many times pocket. Running from meeting to meeting, plus traveling and flying for work, and training for the half marathon, the pocket pearl tampon makes such a difference in terms of convince and peace of mind. Imagine full size protection that fits in your pocket! Plus I love their Ready, Set, Click design, next time your out shopping for new tampons, definitely give Tampax Pocket Pearl a try! Wish me luck on getting selected to run this October and speak soon!

Mix Match Sets

Today we're mixing things up today by literally mixing up two different sets! :) I recently received this super cute green set from Chicwish and then within a few days this sequin set from AMI Clubwear arrived on my doorstep! When I hung them up in my closet, I immediately knew that they would be great together. The rich shade of green compliments the navy skirts sequin decorations really well, and of course for fun I tried on the navy floral top with the green skirt, works too! :)

Happy Hump Day all! I hope you are having an amazing week! It was a gorgeous this weekend by the Bay, the weather was sunny and comfortable. We went on a run in Golden Gate Park and had a BBQ on Sunday for a late Fathers Day celebration.
